Romans 1:7 – “To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.”
God gives us peace now, but in the TOJT, God takes peace from the earth (Revelation 6:4). If a Christian went into the TOJT, it would make God a liar.
Romans 1:16-19 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.”
Romans 1:18 is a tie-in to 2 Thessalonians 2:12
Romans 8:14-15 – “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
God has not given us the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7), but if you believe you are going to be facing God’s wrath for 7 years as described in it’s gory details in the book of Revelation, you will get a spirit of fear, and if you have a spirit of fear it’s not coming from God.
Romans 8:16-25 – “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our
spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs
of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so
be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I
reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared
with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest
expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by
reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21 Because the creature
itself also shall be delivered from
the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain
together until now. 23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have
the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the
redemption of our body. 24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that
is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25
But if we hope for that we see not, then
do we with patience wait for it.”
Romans 8:23 lines up with Ephesians 1:10-14. We are not waiting for the Antichrist, as post-trib heretics claim, we are waiting for “it” (the rapture).
Romans 8:35-39 – “Who
shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or
distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are
accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more
than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that
neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things
present, nor things to come, 39 Nor
height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from
the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
This is not the case in the TOJT, somebody could be separated from the love of God if they take the mark (Revelation 14:9-11).
Romans 9:27-29 – “Esaias also crieth concerning Israel,
Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For
he will finish the work, and cut it
short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon
the earth. And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a
seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been
made like unto Gomorrha.
Verse 27 and 28 line up with Matthew 24:21-22, it’s talking about the JEWS, NOT the Christian Church. Romans 9:29 lines up with Revelation 11:8. Paul is giving a “shout out” to the events of the time of Jacob’s trouble. The time of Jacob’s trouble is clearly for the JEWS, not the Christians, Christians get taken out before it begins.
Romans 11:1-15 – “I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, 3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal. 5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. 7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded 8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. 9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. 11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?”
There is going to come a time when God is provoking the Jews to jealousy and their fullness is going to come in. If Christians go into the TOJT, there would be no fullness of the Jews that come in, which would contradict what Paul wrote. The body of Christ leaves before God starts to deal with Israel in the TOJT.
Romans 13:1-7 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
Romans 13:2 is a direct contradiction of Revelation 14:9-11, because people will have to disobey the government and refuse to take the mark. Also, according to post-trib logic, Christians would have to honor the antichrist or else they would be disobeying verse 7.
Romans 13:11 – “And that, knowing the time, that now it is
high time to awake out of sleep: for
now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”
This can’t be true for someone in the time of Jacob’s trouble because if they take the mark they are damned to hell (Revelation 14:9-11), they have no guarantee of salvation. If Christians went into the TOJT it would make God a liar.
Romans 14:7-9 – “For none of us liveth to himself, and no
man dieth to himself. 8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and
whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. 9 For to
this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of
the dead and living.
Verse 8 can’t be true in the TOJT, because if someone takes the mark they are damned to hell. Verse 9 lines up perfectly with John 11:21-26 (Jesus Christ reveals the resurrection of the dead in John 11:21-26).
Romans 15:13 – “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy
and peace in believing, that ye may abound
in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
It’s a great hope knowing that you will be called up and meet Jesus, but there would be no hope in knowing that you will be going into the TOJT and face God’s wrath for 7 years. Post-trib rapture heresy steals the hope God gives you.
