#1 Peter was married:
Matthew 8:14 – “And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever.”
1 Corinthians 9:5 – “Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?”
#2 Peter never accepted reverence:
Acts 10:25-26 – “And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. 26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.”
#3 Peter declared that Jesus was the chief cornerstone:
Acts 4:12 – “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
Ephesians 2:20 – “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”
Roman Catholicism has set aside the word of God for the pagan man-made traditions. By declaring Peter as the first Pope demonstrates that Roman Catholicism is not founded upon the word of God, but upon superstition and pagan tradition.
