John 3:16-18 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
When Jesus Christ saves us, we will not perish, we are not condemned. We have everlasting life, that is given to us by God, not by our own righteousness or holiness.
John 4:14 - "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
We will never thirst if we drink the water that Jesus gives us (salvation).
John 5:24 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
According to Jesus, once we get saved, we will not come into condemnation, but according to conditional security heretics, we can lose our salvation and come into condemnation, which would make Jesus a liar.
John 6:35 - "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
Jesus is the bread of life, he gives us salvation and once he saves us we will never hunger and never thirst in the sense that we won't lose our salvation. Again, conditional security heretics make Jesus Christ a liar.
John 6:39 - "And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day."
When Jesus saves us he won't lose us, salvation is completely given and controlled by Jesus, and not by our own holiness or self-righteousness.
John 10:28-29 - "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand."
When Jesus saves us, we will never perish and we can't be plucked out of the Father's hand. Conditional security heretics seem to think that we are better than God, and we can be plucked out of God's hand. Again, conditional security heretics make God a liar.
John 17:11-12 - "And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled."
When Jesus saves us, he keeps us and none of us will be lost (Lines up with John 6:39).
The real issue with conditional security is that conditional security heretics deny that the blood of Jesus is enough to pay for our sins. Conditional security heretics make it seem like the blood of Jesus + our self-righteousness and holiness is required for salvation. Conditional security is nothing more than Roman Catholicism. Roman Catholics and conditional security heretics both deny that Jesus' blood is enough to cleanse us from sins, they both make salvation into a continual process of works and self-righteousness. Bible Believing Christians know that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is all that is needed to cleanse us from sins, understanding eternal security is simply understanding that GOD saves us, we don't save our selves or have to keep our selves saved by works or holiness. When God saves us, God keeps us saved.
